Which size fits which wall

Match the width of the sheet to the width of whatever sits below it. The usual rule of thumb is two-thirds to three-quarters of the furniture's width, and once the furniture is measured that is arithmetic. It is done here for every size, so you can read the answer off rather than work it out.

What size print goes above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard?

Measure the piece of furniture. Find the row whose figures bracket that measurement.

What if the furniture is wider than one sheet?

Then the answer is a row rather than a larger sheet — there is a largest size, and past it the proportion is reached by hanging more than one. The widths below are the sheets alone. Whatever gap you leave between them adds to the span, so treat these as the floor.

How high should it hang?

Are the prints portrait or landscape?

Every sheet is portrait — taller than it is wide. A landscape wall — over a low sideboard, or a headboard — is therefore a job for a row rather than for one sheet turned on its side.

The check worth doing before you order

Cut newspaper to the size, tape it to the wall at that height and leave it a day. It costs nothing and it answers the question better than any table can.
